Become an Animal Author
BestFarmAnimals.com is hiring a team of 10 writers to create articles for BestFarmAnimals.com. Right now, this site is about 2 years old, and we are looking to grow it into new animals and to become a place for animal enthusiasts and lovers to learn about raising farm animals. We are looking for experienced authors with good knowledge to share, but it’s ok if you have limited experience as long as you have a passion for farm animals and are willing to do the research to write informative articles.
We have any specific writing requirements but don’t require professional experience. If you haven’t written professionally before, but you know how to write clearly, concisely, and do great research, we’d love to talk to you!
If you’d like to write about your hobby and get paid for your knowledge, then this is a great opportunity.
How We Pay You
Payment: We pay between $0.03 and $0.05 a word. We usually start new authors out at $0.03 a word and as soon as they adjust and require little edits, we move their rate up. The key is how much time the author’s articles require revision by editors. We have a styling guide and training for new authors so that you know exactly what we are looking for!
Do I Get Credit As an Author?
Credit: Writers have their bio appear on their articles and you can mention a social media profile in that bio if you choose to build up an audience over time. But, there may be a few articles that may need to be ghostwritten. And, we reserve the right to consolidate and move old articles under a ghost name if an author leaves before they have written 10 articles for BestFarmAnimals.com.
Schedule: All writers will be expected to produce three articles per month. It is critical that you not miss a publishing date, ever. You can take up to one month off a year if you communicate that with us before. Writers who miss a publishing date will be let go. For most freelance writers, three articles per month is perfect so they have plenty of time to work on it without being overwhelmed, but writers can almost always pick up additional articles to write if you’d like more work. You can write articles at your leisure and schedule the article to automatically post on the morning of your publishing date.
Ownership: You understand and agree that all photos, videos, written content, and other media submitted to BestFarmAnimals.com becomes the exclusive property of Duran International, LLC and you do not have the right to republish that content on your site.
Legal: This opportunity is available for writers around the world. This is a freelance gig and you will be an independent contractor and receive a 1099 at the start of the year (for U.S.-based writers) BestFarmAnimals.com is owned, operated, and published by Duran International, LLC, a limited liability company headquartered in Idaho.
